Noosa Walk and Talk
A friendly, unhurried walk with good company — and no pressure at all to be fit before you arrive.
Walk times and meeting points are posted in the group.
Some of the best things start with a walk.
I started Walk and Talk because so many women told me the same thing: they wanted to move more, but the idea of walking into a gym — or hiring a coach — felt like too big a first step.
So this is the small first step. We walk, we talk, and nobody is assessed, measured or sold anything. You’ll meet women in exactly your position, on a beautiful piece of coastline, and you’ll go home feeling better than when you arrived.
A lot of the women I now coach started right here. Plenty of others simply keep walking with us, and that’s a perfectly good outcome too.
What to expect
- A relaxed pace — conversation, not competition
- Women of all ages and fitness levels
- No cost, no sign-up, no commitment
- Comfortable shoes and water, that’s all you need
- A friendly face if you’re coming on your own
Never walked with a group before? Message me in the group beforehand and I’ll look out for you.
Why walking matters more after 40
It is the most underrated thing you can do for your body — and the easiest to keep doing.
It keeps you steady
Uneven ground asks your ankles, hips and core to make hundreds of tiny corrections. That’s balance training, disguised as a nice morning.
It looks after your heart and bones
Regular walking supports cardiovascular health and helps keep bone density where you want it — particularly important through and after menopause.
It lifts your mood
Movement, daylight and conversation together do more for how you feel than any one of them alone. Most women leave lighter than they came.
General information only, and not medical advice — if you have a health condition, please check with your doctor before starting something new.
Walking is a wonderful start. It isn’t quite everything.
Walking looks after your heart, your head and your habit of moving. What it can’t do on its own is build the muscle and bone strength that keeps you steady on your feet and independent in your eighties.
That takes resistance work — done properly, progressed sensibly, and built around your body. That’s the part I coach.
Corinna has helped me build strength, improve my balance and feel confident in my body again. She’s supportive, encouraging and truly cares.
Come for a walk first, if you’d rather.
No pressure at all. Join the group, come along, and see how you feel about the rest afterwards.
A friendly, no-pressure chat. No commitment and no sales pitch.
